About AC0980 - Venlo
💓 MEET VENLO 💓
Hello, do you have a minute for a beautiful girl such as myself? My name’s Venlo and I’m appropriately named after a quaint city in the Netherland. Much like Venlo the city, I am quiet and beautiful, and enjoy a nice slow paced lifestyle.
Before I thankfully found myself with the Angels I had been living it rough on the streets, which really is not the place for a gentle lady such as myself. Because of this I’m still learning that you hoomans aren't so bad and provide me with food, warm beds, and cuddles. I’ve heard stories from other foster kitties who have started off life much the same way as me, but are now off living their best life as full blown house cats. I’m doing my best to learn and I’m sure I’ll get there in no time, but for now I need a quiet home where I can really start to let my true purrsonality shine. I’m sure that being able to provide a safe, loving and patient home where I can come out of my shell will be just as rewarding for you as it will be for me.
I quite like other cats and may enjoy having a friendly feline companion to show me the ropes and I'm already learning to enjoy pats and will even let my foster mum carry me around. One of my favourite ways of bonding with my carer is when she wraps be up in a towel and turns me into a furry little burrito (or should I say PURRito!). Despite the fact I am understandably overwhelmed by all these new experiences I have never shown the smallest sign of aggression, which really is a testament to my beautiful nature.
So if you are looking for the unique experience of being one of the first hoomans to win my trust then please ask the Angels about me. I am such as stunning girl inside and out, who deserves a chance to settle down.

AC0980 - Venlo
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Long Hair
Colour: Black
DOB: 28/01/18
Adoption Fee: $50 reduced adoption fee due to the risk of Feline Infectious Peritonitis.
*Venlo's adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment*
Medical Notes: Venlo had ringworm, a common fungal infection, and calicivirus, a respiratory infection. She was treated for these and has been given the all clear by the vet.
A kitten from Venlo’s foster home has likely developed Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) . FIP is a genetic mutation of a common feline infection called Feline Coronavirus. It is not known why some cats develop FIP and others do not, however there are a number of factors including a genetic predisposition. There is no treatment for FIP, the disease is fatal. Dogs and humans are not at risk of transmission of this condition.
There is no way to know whether any of the other fosters in the home will develop it, but after the age of 18 months old, the chances of developing it decreases significantly. Venlo could be shedding the virus and could pass it onto other cats she comes into contact with, and they are then also at risk of developing FIP, so she needs to go to a home with no with other cats under the age of 18 months until she is above this age. She also needs to be inside only to not come into contact with other cats until she reaches 18 months of age. However, she can be rehomed with another cat or kitten from her current foster home as they have the same risk.
We are asking for a reduced adoption fee due to the small risk of Venlo also developing FIP due to integration with the affected kitten.
