About Lexi
Lexi | Female | Husky X | 2-4 years old
Lexi, Lexi, Lexi....you should have been named Houdini! Those of you that have experienced the Husky art of escapism and survived will love this little lady. While she might be a relaxed and chilled-out girl, she will try to find her way out/in of anywhere if possible, just to test her abilities. She will need a yard with very secure, dig-proof 6 foot high non-climbable fencing.
We think Lexi is around 2-4 years old and is either a Husky or Husky X. She’s a very petite little thing (14kg) and a super smoocher.
Lexi is not a dog that can be left in the house unsupervised as she will be get into things she shouldn't if left to her own devices. She is only just learning how to be an inside dog and all the treasures inside need investigation, so not only might she destroy your house and belongings, but also could do herself harm in the process. Because she is a very energetic girl who likes to occupy herself by getting into mischief, she will need an owner who is prepared to give her lots of training and exercise and include her in plenty of activities. Currently she is doing very well with crate training to help her adjust to life in the house.
Lexi is super awesome with other dogs and people. She’s happy to run around and do zoomies with a buddy, but then will go and relax by herself. She thrives on engagement and learning from her humans, but bores easily with the same old stuff - she needs a challenge.
If you can cope with Lexi's needs, she is a lovely confident dog who allows full handling and likes to be around people, but she is also happy to be by herself or with a companion dog. She is highly trainable, particularly if food rewards are on offer as food is a strong motivation for her.
Lexi will need:
A reasonable sized yard with high, climb-proof, dig-proof fencing
Supervision while in the house
Lots of exercise and training to keep her occupied
Children must be at least in their teens
No cats or pocket pets
