About Huey 💙
Huey is an absolute sweetheart! He is 1 of 4 pups that arrived into care at almost 7wks old and is currently in foster care with his 2 brothers, Hugo and Harley, as well as 2 host dogs.
This little man has settled in beautifully to his foster home and enjoys the company of both other dogs and his humans. He's full of energy (as most pups are) and loves to follow his humans around the house. He's quite happy to spend his days outdoors as long as he has someone to play with, a full belly, a comfy place to snooze and some toys (or sticks/leaves) to keep him amused. Huey is crate trained and loves to curl up in there for a nap or some quiet time. Toilet training is well underway and he does tend to follow the bigger dogs lead, so as long as this was continued in his new home, we believe this will be mastered in no time.
Huey has been cuddled, kissed and adored by young children in his foster home and we feel he would suit a home with or without another dog, as long as he was made to feel a part of the family. Having an older, well trained dog would certainly benefit though, as this would provide Huey with a playmate and also provide him with guidance and training. If he was to be an only dog, he would need continued socialisation with other dogs during his puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered, socialised young man.
We would love to help get you started with that, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Huey is yet to have his vet work done but we are happy to organise meets in the next couple of weeks, and secure an adoption with a non refundable deposit so that he can head off to his new home once his vet work is done. He is located in Wamberal on the Central Coast, NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous boy. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
