Meet Dave

Dave is a gorgeous boy whose age has nothing to do with his activity levels! He enjoys a brisk daily walk with his foster sister (a Labrador) and of course being a Beagle he loves to sniff all the good smells on a walk, which sometimes means a swift change of direction!

He is such a happy dog; he loves being near you, he loves a back massage and enjoys chewing on a rope toy. Dave likes his food but he is not a gulper and will take a treat nicely from your hand.

He has met the resident cat in his foster home and was friendly towards him, so would be fine with careful introduction to a dog-friendly feline.
Being an older gentlemen Dave is fully house-trained and once he settles down inside will sleep happily on a mat or on a blanket on the lounge chair!

Dave would be best in a home without young children as he does have a tendency to jump up in excitement. We have been working on that and his new home should continue this training. He knows sit and drop and we are also working on stay. Dave loves company so another friendly dog, or someone who is home a lot would be ideal for him.

When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. This includes current/past pets and their breed, children, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. Please note all of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you.
