About Spot
Spot is a great little guy and really intelligent too. He is a really cooperative little boy and just so easy to care for. He loves to get outside with the other dogs and run around and play wrestling games. On his off lead bush walks he loves to explore but rarely wanders out of sight. If he does he has great recall to his name or a whistle. Spot is very sociable with the other dogs in the crew and savvy enough to know which are up for a game and which to steer clear of. Even if one of the grumpy old guys tells him off he just takes it on the chin and gets on with it though. Like his brother Pretty Boy he loves a lap cuddles and is really soft and snuggly. Spot is a sensible little boy and will find a nice safe place to have a nap if he is tired, or curl up on a dog bed in the evening with his brother on one of his good mates.
Spot came to us when his mum died. He was only a few weeks old, so we grew him and his 12 littermates up, with a view to sending most home when they were big enough. Unfortunately Spot contracted parvovirus and was dangerously ill. He and his brother were so sick and weak, it seemed they would not survive, but they both pulled through in the end and began to thrive. His littermates have gone home, but he and his brother have been with us so long that their indigenous family are happy for us to rehome them. We just haven't hurried to advertise them because they needed time to get their mojo back. Now the time has come for him and brother Pretty Boy to go out into the world and find a human family of their own to love and cherish them.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Spot's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Spot is living in foster care Elliott NT.
Medical notes
Spot contracted parvovirus at 10 weeks old. He has made a full recovery and will thankfully be immune for life.
