About Roxy - Located in Brunswick
Roxy is the most affectionate cat. She loves head scratches, behind her ears are her favourite and under the chin.
Roxy will come right up to you, look you in the eyes and purr until you pat her. If you don’t, she will rub her head against the coffee table. Sometimes she will even head butt you.
Living with Roxy means you are never lonely with her around. She would be purrrfect for anyone with no other pets. Everyone falls in love with her.
Roxy sits like a seal, which is a quirky characteristic of hers.
Roxy prefers not to be held, isn’t a lap cat but likes to snuggle up right next to you.
Roxy is happiest when she's the only pet in the house.
Roxy does require brushing at least once a week but more frequently if her fur gets matted. Removing loose fur from her blanket daily helps. She likes being brushed and even just stroking her back will remove a lot of hair, which she enjoys. She isn’t a fan of getting her belly brushed or patted though. She has a very soft and silky coat.
Roxy has silent meows which are adorable. In general she is a very quiet cat, but will purr loudly to her hearts content. She also drools when she is REALLY enjoying her ear scratches.
Roxy requires a special diet of Royal Canin Sensitivity wet and dry food.
Roxy is underweight due to her hyperthyroidism so she needs to eat as much as she wants whenever she wants, as long as she first eats her wet food mixed with meds.

Medical notes
The adoption fee includes de-sexing, micro-chip, current vaccination, flea and worm treatment while in care.
Roxy has a medical condition called Hyperthyroidism. (Also known as an over active thyroid) This requires her to be on a special diet and twice daily medication for life. She needs regular check ups and a blood test performed every 6 months to ensure that her medication dose is still effective.

Maneki Neko Cat Rescue would like to help ensure you and your new companion/s have a long and happy life together. Please be advised that if you should find that you are not a purrfect match, or if you need to rehome your new pet at any stage of its life, Maneki Neko Cat Rescue will take the cat back into care and find a new home.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue provides a 7 day health warranty on all adoptions. Although all our cats and kittens are health checked prior to adoption, sometimes the stress of a new environment can upset their immune system.
