About Mishka
Mishka | Siberian Husky | Female | 6 years old
Little Mishka is very confused at the moment - everything she has known since she was a puppy has been taken from her and she doesn't quite know how to cope with life in the shelter. She is aloof and pretends she doesn't care about you, but give her a good back rub and massage and she starts to warm up a little, she may even lean into you to get a little more.
New environments and people stress Mishka out a bit, so she needs someone who can help build her confidence in the world back up. She walks like a dream on the lead and has lovely manners, and she loooves a butt scratch. Her destructive puppy days are far behind her and she just wants a place to call home and someone to be her family. Mishka is a super sweet, lovely girl that just needs a bit of luck and a kind, patient foster or adoptive family to take her on.
Other dogs, well this little lady just doesn't quite understand how to engage appropriately with them. With time and positive, controlled experiences she may learn, but for now needs to be the only dog in the house. Unpredictability makes her uncomfortable, so she wouldn't be suited to a home with young or primary school-aged children.
Mishka will need:
A caring patient family who are prepared to build her confidence
A home with no other dogs, cats or pocket pets
A reasonable sized yard with secure fencing
Any children to be in their teenage years
