About Xena
An absolutely beautiful girl who's always up for a vigorous ear scratch, Xena the Warrior Princess loves to follow you around the house, chirping all the way!
Sweet and petite, Xena is fairly independent by nature - she's purrfectly content to curl up in a window and watch the day go by, or snooze in the sunshine for hours - but she'll always demand a daily snuggle, ideally perched up on your chest. As per her namesake, she's very brave and has been known to run to the front door with her tail puffed out when the neighbours get home, ready to protect her human instead of hiding behind the lounge like most cats would!
This gorgeous lass has just finished raising her five kittens with love and care, sending them off into the world and hoping now to find a very special home to call her own.
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-cats. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
MY IDEAL HOME: It would be wonderful to have some safe outdoor access if possible - maybe to a courtyard, garden or enclosure - though I could live happily as an indoors-only cat, too. I'll need a fairly quiet environment, and I'd love to be able to sleep on the bed at your feet.
I enjoy human company, even if we're not touching - I just like to know you're nearby. Scratching posts (or a good tree!) and toys are also excellent fun! I'm still very young, after all.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Pretty chill most of the time - but come Devil-O'clock (around 9pm), a good romp through the house is hard to beat!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I think I'll make a lovely companion for adults and gentle, friendly kids. Once I've gotten to know somebody, I remember and form a bond with them.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: There's a chance I could mellow over time, but I get a bit stressed around other animals, sadly.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-cats. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
