About Buddy ~ Beagle x (on trial 2-12-2018)
This adorable little guy is Buddy and he is just over 12 months old. His paperwork states he is Beagle x Cross Breed but he looks a little bit of a Foxy. But to be honest who cares what bread he is as he is the most adorable, loving, affectionate little man I have ever come across. Buddy is only small weighing in at 11.5 kilos. He’s not super tiny, but not big either- he’s just right!
Buddy really wants to be loved and adored. He will make the perfect full-time companion if you are looking for a sweet, gentle and affectionate furry best friend that will be an important member of your family. He has a sweet personality adores hanging out with his humans and follows you around like your shadow. He also loves exploring in the garden, running around and playing with toys and the ball. He loves chasing the ball and is as quick as a whip. Buddy loves to play with his foster brothers and sister and going for walks with his foster siblings. He will need further training with walking as he is a little skittish around traffic and young children. But being a Beagle he likes to sniff everything. Buddy came from a home that someone was home more often than not and also had another puppy to play with.
Buddy is a gorgeous tri-colour, with the blue ticking through his coat. You would think he is crossed with a Cattle Dog with his colouring. He has beautiful big brown eyes that will melt your heart and constantly has a smile on his face. Actually this little guy is just so happy all of the time, he just loves all the attention, cuddles and kisses.
In his current foster home Buddy’s carers are working mostly full time but overlapping hours, so Buddy usually is only alone for around 5 hours per day but has someone home for a full 3 days. Plus he is never alone when he has his big foster brother the Coon Hound and Beaglier plus Buddy also has his Beagle foster sister to keep him company when his humans go out. Buddy has certainly come out of his shell within the last week and is a very happy puppy. He is now toilet trained (thanks to his foster siblings) and has a very healthy appetite.
Buddy’s wish list would includes a gentle fur sister or brother just like he has now. He totally adores them all and play together beautifully, especially chasies and tug-o-war with toys. He is an excellent guard dog (not a massive barker), but will let you know when guests arrive. Although he may be a little wary and nervous until he knows that they are welcome friends, he then quickly settles into the perfect puppy host.
Buddy is learning all the basics as he is a very smart boy and is very driven by treats. He can sit and stay, but still working on waiting until told he can eat his food, you can tell him to go outside, go to his bed, and to have a pee before going to bed! He is toilet trained, and loves to sleep on his bed in the bedroom with his foster siblings on their own doggy beds.
Buddy is light on his feet and quite agile, and will do absolutely anything for food (and cuddles), which makes it easy for you to keep teaching him lots of new obedience skills and playful tricks, and that will also keep him (and you) entertained. He still has lots to learn and is keen to learn. If you invest a little time into training Buddy will be the perfect dog and will steal your heart for life.
