Bodhi ~ Border Collie x (on trial 17/11/18)

They don’t come much better looking than Bodhi, a 10 month old Border Collie cross. This gorgeous ball of fluff has the softest coat, the kindest nature and is looking for just the right home.

Bodhi follows his foster mum like a shadow, adores kids and other dogs and loves to sit at your feet (or on the lounge if you’ll let him!) He loves exploring the toy box and has great fun throwing toys around with his mouth. For a Border cross he has a very chilled out nature and is a fantastic guard dog, barking to alert you of visitors. He is settling well into family life and the sights and sounds of suburban living.

Bodhi adores the beach and we are working on his lead walking and recall. He is very smart and loves his food but will need further training. Bodhi was not well socialised with people in his early months and as such, is very wary of new people to begin with. He has shown zero aggression with this, but may run and hide or bark at strangers when they approach. He is no longer doing this at the beach when there are other things to look at, so we feel very confident that with lots of patience and gentle conditioning, this will improve with time.

Because of his wariness, we hope to rehome him with another confident dog that he can take the lead from. He currently lives with a Kelpie foster brother and loves to play with him. His new owners will also need to spend time to win his trust and not overwhelm him with too much at once. With love and understanding he will be the most loyal and devoted family member. His coat will need maintenance and this is something an adopting family should factor into his care.

Bodhi’s adoption fee is $550 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
