About Eddie ~ Jack Russell x Kelpie (on trial 16/11/18)
This adorable little dude is Eddie and he is 12 months old. The ranger at the pound microchipped him as Jack Russell Terrier x Cross Breed … he looks and acts a bit like a combination of Jack Russell Terrier and Kelpie. He’s not tiny, but not big either… he’s just right!
Eddie really wants to be loved and adored. He will make the perfect full-time companion if you are looking for a sweet, gentle and affectionate furry best friend that will be an important member of your family. He has a sweet personality and adores hanging out with his humans and watching every single thing; He also loves exploring in the garden, investigating whatever catches his attention; going for walks and jogs … or you will find him snoozing on the veranda or playing with his big fur foster sister.
He is a gorgeous sandy colour, with beautiful black lining to his eyes and mouth - highlighting his bright happy eyes and constant happy smile. Actually this little dude smiles all of the time, he just loves life at the moment.
In his current foster home his carers are home most of the time; plus he has a big, gentle, furry foster sister to keep him company when his humans go out, and to keep him in line and teach him lots of doggy things as a big sister should – In this environment he is thriving and perfectly happy. If he was to be an only dog, it will be essential to invest in professional training as he can become stressed when isolated and alone.
His wish list also includes a big, gentle fur sister just like he has now. He totally adores her, trotting along behind her like a mini-me. They play together beautifully, especially chasies and tug-o-war with teddy bears.
He is an excellent guard dog (not a massive barker), but will let you know when guests arrive. Although he may be a little wary and nervous until he knows that they are welcome friends, he then quickly settles into the perfect puppy host.
This little dude is very smart too. He can sit and stay, he will wait until told he can eat his food, you can tell him to go outside, go to his bed, and to have a pee before going to bed! He is toilet trained, and has also been crate trained, even though in his current foster home he sleeps with his foster fur sister together on doggy beds.
He is light on his feet and quite agile, and will do absolutely anything for food (and cuddles), which makes it easy for you to keep teaching him lots of new obedience skills and playful tricks, and that will also keep him (and you) entertained. He still has lots to learn and is keen to learn. If you invest a little time into training this little dude, he will be the perfect doggo and your bestie for life.
