About Lilly ~ Bull Arab X (on trial 16/1/2019)
Look at that adorable face! Butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth. This my friends, is Lilly a 6 month old Bull Arab X and an absolute delight. Her cute puppy eyes will sweep you off your feet along with her beautiful caring heart, second to none personality and love for snuggles, anyone would find it difficult to put her down.
Lilly has learnt so much in the short time she has been earth side. She is competent with the ‘sit’ and ‘lay’ commands, working toward ‘wait’, she is toilet trained and comes to her name when called. Lilly enjoys going for a walk on her lead with her foster brother. She is happy to say hello to other humans walking past. Lilly loves a wander around her large foster home’s yard and is quick to come back to her human companion if they get too far away.
Lilly loves her food. Anything from chicken necks, raw chicken, tuna, biscuits and her favorite; BBQ chicken. She does have a little bit of a sensitive tummy so consistency and high quality food is what Lilly needs. Lilly can’t get enough of chewing on a bone or a pigs ear. This will keep her occupied for hours. We have ensured that taking her bone off her is quite a normal experience for her so if a child was to grab it from her, there would be no problems. Similar outcome when she is eating from her bowl also. Lilly loves all dog treats - liver pieces, schmackos, kangaroo bites etc. she responds excellent when training with treats.
Little travels well in the car however is hesitant to jump in on her own. Once in the car, Lilly loves to look out the window and have a sticky beak at other doggos and take in the view and will then snuggle up and sleep most of the trip.
Lilly enjoys playing with toys and her foster brother. She is currently living with her foster brother who is also a Bull Arab x (2 years old), and quite a rough player. Lilly is happy to share her toys with her playmate and enjoys a good old game of tug-o-war. She would fit in really well in a home with another dog. Lilly has spent time on her own and is generally fine with this. Initially she may cry however then self-settles and retreats to lazing in the sun most of the day.
Lilly has been sleeping in a crate on and off at her foster home. She enjoys her little safe space. She is still in training in this area however has jumped leaps and bounds since settling into her foster home.
Honestly, to whoever Lilly becomes their fur child, she really is a special girl. She has been through so much in her little time on our earth, but she has the most beautiful, gentle heart and will make an amazing companion for humans young and old.
