About Harry
This handsome devil is Harry.
Harry has proven to be an extremely clever boy who's aim in life seems to be to love and please his special people. He is a very happy and well adjust boy who loves to run and play but also loves a cuddle on the couch.
Harry's foster carers tell us he is the most well behaved dog they have had the pleasure of fostering. He knew no commands whatsoever when he came to us a couple of months back. In this very short time, he has quickly learnt 'sit, stay and drop' and his name! He is very trustworthy off lead and will nearly always return when he is called (unless, true to his breed, he feels the need to round up the other dogs at the park). This is quite impressive considering he had no name before coming into our care. He never stops amazing his carers who definitely have a soft spot for this incredibly sweet boy.
This gorgeous young man came to us from a farm where he was living with a large number of other dogs. He was not used for working but true to his breed, he is happy to give it a crack. We are unsure of his potential but do believe that due to his gentle nature and desire to be close to his people, Harry would be much happier as a member of the family rather than a working dog.
Harry's foster carer took him to a family member's farm and exposed him to different situations to see how he would respond. He behaved around the sheep and stayed by her side while she walked through the shearing yards. It became apparent that Harry's humans are more important to him than livestock. The only time he thought about chasing the sheep was when other dogs were pushing them up in the yards but that seemed to be his instinct to work with the other dogs. He was perfectly content watching his foster mum in the shearing shed and didn't react to the shearing at all.
We don't think Harry has had the opportunity to leave his previous home but that doesn't seem to have held him back at all. He is a social butterfly. He loves heading to the park for his daily run and enjoys the company of all the people and dogs who are there to share play time.
Harry had never been on lead before and this is something else he took to very quickly. He walks perfectly next to his carer while the other dogs insist on being at the front.
Manners seem to come very naturally to Harry. He is very well behaved indoors and although it is something he had never experienced until recently, he is very calm inside and quickly understood that he was expected to head outside at toilet time.
Harry is quite calm and will be the perfect match for another desexed settled, gentle dog of similar age, size and breed.
He is used to sharing his time with many, many dogs and will not be well suited to a home as an only dog or with an older dog.
A home with a large yard/acreage where he will be offered daily exercise and mental stimulation will be a must for this incredibly intelligent young man.
Please contact us if you believe Harry could be the wonderful new addition you have been waiting for.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
