About Duke
This handsome boy is Duke!
Duke is a happy-go-lucky boy with an independent personality and a quiet nature. He is happy to chill by himself, or with his people and doggie friends. He is good on a leash and doesn’t complain when left in the backyard, even when other dogs around him do.
Duke can get excited about cats, but with some training he is now doing better around them although we believe he would be happier in a cat free environment. He has been in care with a large family and has been fine with the children in the home.
This dignified dog is a lovely companion to have around, though he sometimes acts more like a cat than a dog! He is very easy going and doesn't seem to be fazed by much as long as he has his canine pals by his side.
A home as an only dog will NOT be an option for Duke. He was surrendered to us a couple of months ago with a lot of other dogs and has always lived in a large canine pack. For this reason, he will ONLY be suitable to a home where he will have a desexed female doggy companion of similar size and breed to share his days with. He seems quite on edge around other male dogs so a 'girl'friend in his new home will be the perfect outcome for him.
Duke is crate trained, and toilet trained and has nice manners when he is indoors. He sleeps inside every night and we would like to see him offered the same privileges of an indoor/outdoor lifestyle in his new home.
Duke has a gorgeous long coat that will require regular brushing and occasional grooming to keep him looking his very best.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
