About Lenny
Lenni is an enthusiastic Jack Russell, approximately 5 year old, who loves the company of people. He likes nothing more than to sit on your lap, while you watch TV. He would love to make his forever home with someone who is home most of the time; he would really flourish in a close relationship with an owner who wants a little mate. He wouldn’t be anywhere near as happy if he was home by himself.
Lenni is happy being an only dog, but will tolerate other dogs. He hasn’t developed an appreciation of cats. So a cat free home is essential.
Lenni has lots of energy and loves chasing his tennis ball, hence his name, Lenni as in Lendl.
Lenni likes to run in the garden, but does require a home with very secure fencing. He has all the generally accepted Jack Russell traits and will follow his nose as far as it will take him and he is fast. He loves to walk on a lead. He happily partakes in a daily walk where he loves to sniff and explore his neighbourhood surroundings.
Lenni loves human comforts and sleeps indoors. He will follow you everywhere and wants to be by your side constantly. If afforded the opportunity he will sneak a spot on the couch or on a bed. He will become a little anxious if separated from you and spending extended periods alone is not recommended for Lenni. He is a small dog and can startle easily, loud environments and those with younger children may not suit him.
He tries very hard at his training. He will sit, stay and lay down for a tummy rub without too much coaxing. He is working on his tennis ball return skills. He is toilet trained. He travels well in the car and has spent some time sailing and does well in this environment if securely tethered on-board.
