About Alfie DL2013
You wouldn’t believe this stunning man is 13 years old (to be honest we don’t think he even realises he’s meant to be that old).
Despite having some arthritis, Alfie is a happy boy who loves to play. If you let him, he'll play with a ball or stick all day long. Because of his arthritis though, he needs to be reminded that play time does need to stop or he'll get sore. He also loves to go on gentle walks so he can explore the world outside. Being an older gentleman, Alfie has become hard of hearing, however, being an intelligent breed, he would love some training to learn his commands using hand signals.
Although he's not too interested in other dogs, may go with another playful older dog pending meet. Alfie does like to have company though, so if he is an only dog, he would need someone home more often than not. He has lived with young children in the past, but has not been tested with cats at this stage.

Medical notes
Takes medication for soreness in hips and is a bit hard of hearing, but otherwise fit and healthy for a senior dog.
Adoption details
ADOPTION:
1. Email DFLadoption@gmail.com to contact our Adoption Team & we will send you an expression of interest form to return
2. Successful applicants will then have a 'Meet & Greet' with the dog and their carer, along with a volunteer home visit & fence check, before beginning a trial period with the dog to ensure a great match for all involved.
DFL dogs are vaccinated, micro chipped & desexed prior to adoption (or at 6 months as a condition of adoption).
FOSTER:
If a dog is listed as "Foster Carer Needed", they are looking for a temporary home in Perth metro while their vet work is completed and while they wait for their forever home. They may also be fostered with the view to adoption. Please email us for more information.

2. Foster care applicants will then have a volunteer home visit & fence check, and a 'Meet & Greet' with the dog and their carer/rescue representative, before commencing foster care.
