Hi I’m Foxy,
I’m a human loving snuggly dog, with a lively active side. I’m approximately 3 years old, I have extensive training of sit, stay, shake and drop, I also have pretty good recall and can fetch a ball and frisbee.
Due to my breed, I need a home that can supply me with daily exercise to keep my mind and body healthy and strong. During the day I’m happy to be left by myself, but I recommend you leave me with something to do to keep me entertained, as I do like to have a crack at landscaping and am an avid stick collector and chewer.
I currently live with two female Kelpies and an older male Pomeranian, so I have had limited trouble with boredom digging, but have two particular holes I like to keep for me to sleep in occasionally.
I am crate trained during the night, but I am house trained and will also use a kennel outside. I do love my human companionship, so I would prefer to sleep inside or even share your bed.
I have a protective temperament so haven’t met a lot of different dogs as I fear they may hurt me, so warn them to stay away, but my foster mum has worked very hard on my training. I will now sit and try my hardest to ignore unwanted attention. I do however warm up to consistent dog friends, I have become very good friends with my fur foster siblings.
I’m an extremely intelligent dog so will thrive with further training, by working on my socialising and learning new skills will make sure I continue in the right direction and be the best dog I can be.
I walk really well on the lead, best with a body harness in a heel position.
I am a huge fan of my cat foster siblings, I currently live with two foster cat siblings, both of which I love and who love me. Which is rare from one of the cats as she is old and tends to dislike everyone, but we must have a mutual understanding, so will sleep next to each other.
I also love my small humans, I currently join my foster mum at school pick up, sitting or lying next to her waiting for my small humans, usually whining waiting for them to come out. I love getting in bed with them to give them a goodnight cuddle, or following them around the yard making sure they are ok. But I do need to be reminded my small human toys are not mine, they do look so good to chew.
I hope to find my forever home soon! If you can offer me everything I am looking for please apply / enquire via this link
