Sam

Introducing Sam, he is an 7 year old Akita and is looking for a loving new home.

He has been a much loved companion for an older gentleman who sadly is no longer able to care for him.

At 55kgs Sam is on the large side, but he is amazing on the lead and walks by your side.
He enjoys his daily walks so an owner who can take him for a short stroll around the block would be great for him. He doesn’t require a lot of exercise but does need to get out for a sniff and stretch of the legs.

Sam isn’t too fond of sharing his home with other dogs, so would need to be the only dog in the house.

He would prefer to have someone who is home more than not. He loves having his owner for company as this is what he has been used to.
He wouldn’t be suited to a home with kids.
Someone who worked from home or an active retired person(s) would be best.

He loves being inside the house with his people- he is currently sleeping outside in his foster carers home and has accepted that well. But given the opportunity he would be right there next to you all the time.

We would love Sam to be adopted locally in the Great lakes area.
