About PJ
PJ is a male Poodle cross Maltese who has come into care as his owner is moving overseas and cannot take him.He is supper affectionate and will make for an excellent close companion pet. He has a non shedding coat that is suitable for people with allergies.
PJ lives for two things - Cuddles and Walkies. As a result we are looking for a home where there is an adult home during the day for company. His new owners will need to have the time and capability of taking him out for a walk for at least 30minutes everyday if not more.
He will be best suited as an only dog as he does like all the attention. He has settled well into his foster home where there are five other dogs in residence, but is absolutely focused on bonding with his humans.PJ is a sweetheart that adores being with you.
PJ's only behavioral issue is that he gets fearful when meeting new dogs. The result being that he barks, grows and snaps. After he has been around the new dog for a few minutes he calms down and is happy to interact normally and say hello calmly. He moved into his foster home where there were 5 other dogs in residence. He made a noise for about 5 minutes then has been socializing beautifully with them ever since without any problem. What this issue means for his new owner is that he will need to be slowly introduced to a new dog.
If you can offer him an excellent future, please call Robyne on 0411069622. He was still available for adoption on 29th October.
If you would like to make application Please email a response to the following questions:
Number of people who live in the home and their ages?
Do all adults work full time?
How many hours per day would the dog be left alone?
Do you own the home or renting?
Will the dog live outside or inside the home?
If inside, will he have full access to the house or only allowed in certain rooms?
Where will the dog sleep at night?
How often will the dog be taken for a walk?
How long are the walks ie 15minutes,30minutes,1 hour?
Are there any other dogs currently in the house? If yes, what breed?
If not, when did you last own a dog and what breed was it?
How regularly will the dog be clipped?
What food do you like to feed your dog?
Medical notes
PJ has had a "Dental"(teeth clean under anesthetic) on 18th October.
