Albus ~ Cattle Dog x Mastiff (on trial 12/11/18)

Albus is a 6 week old Cattle dog X Mastiff. He has been raised inside with his sister Luna and brother Tank. Albus is the smallest of the litter but this doesn’t stop him being the boss of his brother and sister.

Albus loves nothing more than running around outside in the grass and climbing on things. He loves being allowed to explore and climb through equipment.

If you are going to be out more than at home then Albus would need a dog friend to keep him company as he is quite social. Albus would be suited to a home without a doggy companion only if you are able to allow him to be part of the family and inside when you are home. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.

Albus loves to show his affection by snuggling into you and giving you puppy kisses whenever you’re around. Albus happily follows you around as you hang out the washing or just walking around the house.

Albus also is obsessed with his rabbit friend and will happily watch him for as long as you’ll let him. Albus is quite gentle around others and would be well suited to a family that has children but will need to be trained to not knock them over in excitement as he gets older and bigger. He would be suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).

Albus is currently learning basic commands and has learnt the basics but still gets distracted and forgets what he is doing as he is still a baby. Albus would benefit by attending puppy training to keep on socializing and learning new skills.

Albus has shown no aggression when introduced to other dogs and is always excited to play with new dog friends and then finish with a cuddle and a nap.

Albus’ siblings Luna and Tank are also available for adoption.

As Albus is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
