About Maddy
Meet Maddy
Maddy is a gorgoues pup who's full of love and life. She adores spending time with her humans, and will happily laze around for hours in her bed or on the couch if she's allowed, as long as she gets her daily exercise. She has lots of energy despite her age and will need a family that can cater for this- exploring the world every day is something she adores.
Maddy walks and runs extremely well on a lead, stopping and sitting on command before crossing the street and keeping your pace perfectly. She is very intelligent and learns quickly, especially when there are treats involved but even without them she learns quickly too!
Maddy is super affectionate too, she is always up for chin scratches and will rest her head on your hand to request them! She is perfectly toilet trained and will let you know when she needs to go by waiting at the door. She loves car rides too, and will calmly lay down and rest waiting for the next adventure.
Maddy is great with cats and other dogs after being introduced, but she is most happy in the company of her family. She can get anxious when spending a few hours alone, so a family that is home more often than not will suit her perfectly. She knows not to jump even when she is excited, and instead will wiggle not only her tail, but entire body in excitement when meeting new people or greeting you!
Could Maddy come live with you?
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. This includes current/past pets and their breed, children, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. Please note all of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
