About Monty
Meet Monty
Monty loves everyone, including children, especially if they are willing to give him a scratch!
Monty is well toilet trained, polite and gentle with everyone. He loves walks, the beach, sniffing around and meeting other dogs! He is very smart and is eager to learn new tricks, the perfect mix of energetic when he is out, but calm when you are home. Monty is great with other dogs, and would be happy to go to a family with another dog, although human company is still his favourite.
He gets very worried about being left alone, so he will need someone home more often than not. He also does get excited when you arrive home or when it is time to go out and may jump up on you. He has improved with training already, so it would be great for him to go to a family willing to do further training to build his confidence and stop his jumping.
Monty is very sweet and would be a great family or companion dog, he will be eager to please you, as long as you love him as much as he will love you.
Could Monty come live with you?
*Please note: Monty is on medication to assist with his separation anxiety and will likely need to continue this in his new home. He has a training plan to help in conjunction with the medication and continued consultation with the vet is recommended*
**Application Process**
When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. This includes current/past pets and their breed, children, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. Please note all of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you.
