About Winter
Hello! Please read the entire profile and Adoption Procedures BEFORE sending your Enquiry for little Winter Pup. Due to a huge number of applicants and being 100% volunteer run organisation, we are only able to respond to successful applicants. Thank you so kindly for choosing Rescue!
Winter is looking for a forever home where she WILL have another dog to play with and active owners who can keep up with her high energy. Having heeler in her, she will only grow more and more curious of the world, so she is looking for a family that is going to take her on adventures and provide her with mental stimulation too.
Winter is already showing classic working breed behaviours such as rounding and nipping, so will need to start training young and attend obedience school throughout her adolescence to ensure they are controlled appropriately.
Winter is currently living with 2 of her siblings and 2 resident dogs. She is crate trained and will need to sleep inside with her family as she is used to in foster care, we highly recommend continuing her crate training into adulthood too.
We believe dogs are a part of the family and should be included in everyday life. We are looking for dedicated, mature humans to welcome her into their home and hearts, continue with her puppy training and socialisation and also of course commit to her on-going adult training which is so important for a doggy like Winter.
ADOPTION PROCESS for Winter: If successful, the puppy will be placed on 4 week trials. In that trial period adopters will commit to puppy school and ongoing training + vet care. Our preference is that they are placed with families that have another well socialised and friendly companion animal. It is a clause in the agreement that every Puppy will attend Puppy school as a part of the Adoption Process and the schools can be selected by our trusted training and behaviour team and matched to the adopters location. We want the best for these puppies. Please ensure that you can make a big time and heart investment in a puppy before applying.
Medical notes
Winter is a healthy, happy puppy. She will be fully vet worked upon adoption, including desexing, microchipped, vaccinated.
