About Petal
Not cat friendly
Small/Medium/Large dog friendly
Part time/ Full time workers
Children 8 years old +
Petal is a white with black markings, medium sized female greyhound, with the most gentle sweet nature. Since Petal has been with her foster mum and her 4 foster siblings, she is blossoming and coming out of her shell. She came to R2R, a timid soul, but she is slowly gaining confidence. She is enjoying pet life more with each day. She is a beautiful walker and on loose lead, is an absolute pleasure out and about, at cafes she just pops down and has a snooze when she feels the need and you wouldn't know she is there. Doesn't react to other dogs and would be very happy in a home with canine friends, small and large. Petal is very easy to get along with and loves all she meets in her quiet, sweet way. She takes it easy and just goes with the flow. In saying that Petal isn't fond of cats, so a non cat home is for her.
Petal has lots of puppy tendencies, at just over 2 years of age, of course this is to be expected. Lots of varieties of toys would be a great distraction for Petal to not decide to play with things she really shouldn't play with. Her foster mum has also discovered that Petal loves "gardening" as most dogs and certainly puppy ones do, but with gentle guidance as well as planning, Petal will enjoy a digging area or a clam shell filled with dirt or sand, so she can dig as much as she wants. This is a healthy pass time for all dogs and they just really enjoy it so!
Petal is house trained, and loves lounging around inside on comfy beds, relaxing, sleeping and being with her human friends. She would fit in with a family with young children, 8 years up as well as teenagers or couples as well. A new home who includes Petal in their daily activities would be so lovely for Petal who will love being spoilt and loved the way she so deserves!
