About Sarabi π
Let me introduce myself....my name is Sarabi, and I'm a 2 year old American Bulldog. I've now been in foster care for some time, with a beautiful, animal loving family who absolutely adore me. I needed some fattening up when I arrived, and they've done a good job I must say! I'm now feeling so much healthier and look great.
I'm currently an outside dog, because my foster family have an inside cat, and I'm not really a fan of those, but my foster family do allow me to spend some time inside each day, once they secure the cat in another area of the house.(I'm always on my best behaviour when inside) I also have a room set up off the verandah with my bed and some toys and my foster family are always coming out and spending time with me, which I love.
There is so much to tell you about me....I'm living with young children and a toddler, and they all just love me to pieces. It's nice to be fussed over, played with and cuddled. I don't have an issue with kids, as long as they aren't nasty to me. I'll be honest....I do sometimes find it hard to control myself when you come outside to see me (even if you were only gone for 10 minutes) meaning, I may jump up to say hellooooo. But....if you tell me to get down, then I will listen. I'm definitely learning to control myself in these situations though.
My favourite games with the kids involve playing tug-o-war and throwing my rubber toy tyre around. It fascinates me! I also enjoy going for a walk with my foster family. They use a harness to walk me which is easier on both of us! I'm a fairly chilled out and placid girl and happy to just hang out in the yard while my family are busy doing other things. I don't get separation anxiety or bark constantly throughout the day, but I will let you know when someone is hanging around and I will be super happy to see you when you get home!
Now I need to mention my skin issues....grass makes me itchy and although my foster mum trialed me on Black Hawk dry food, my skin reacted to something in it, so I'm now back on Royal Canin Hypoallergenic dry food and this is something I will need to stay on. Having a home where I had a paved/tiled covered area to hang out away from the grass would be perfect. I'm so much happier when I'm not feeling itchy! I'm also getting regular baths with Malaseb wash which helps settle any irritation that may occur if I've spent some time on the grass. I will really need my new family to be mindful of my needs, so that my skin stays beautiful.
I should also mention that I prefer to be your one and only doggie friend. Other dogs make me nervous at times and this may be due to something that happened previously. I'm sure that I will provide you with everything you'll need in a family dog though....loyalty, love and companionship.
So, I know I may seem a little high maintenance with my grass and food allergies, but the unconditional love I will show you, will hopefully make it all worthwhile β€οΈοΈ
I'm currently in foster care in Lake Haven, on the Central Coast NSW and can't wait to meet my new family!

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous girl. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, we will send you through an Adoption Questionnaire and then your enquiry will be passed onto the appropriate carer. Successful applications will be contacted via phone.
