About Cadiera
Looking for your new best friend? Here she is!
Meet Cadiera – she is an extremely sweet and affectionate girl who is going to make someone a very loyal companion. She is an angel to have around the home, happy to hang out with you while you have a cup of coffee outside in the sun or cuddle up with you on the lounge to watch TV. Meeting visitors is fun for Cadiera and she keeps her manners in check as she says hi with her waggy tail. She will go to her bed when you ask her to and sleeps the nights away in her own bed. Like a lady, she will always ask to be excused and use the outside toilet.
As much as her breeding indicates that she should be on a farm, Cadiera enjoys the beach lifestyle! She will splash about in the waves and come out for an ocean swim with you. She also enjoys playing fetch but if you want to be involved in the game then you will need to make sure you have a treat to exchange the ball for. Cadiera also enjoys playing with her toys at home or will be caught doing zoomies around the yard.
Cadiera loves attending her local doggy day care centre. She enjoys her fellow companions to run and play with. Her working dog instincts do kick in with little dogs or unsettled dogs with negative energy and this causes her to herd and nip as if they were a cow in the herd. She would fine to live with another medium to large doggy companion who had a calm and mature nature, otherwise she is happy being an only dog as she does not suffer any separation anxiety.
Being a working breed, Cadiera does need her daily exercise and stimulation. She walks well on the lead, always a little excited to start off but she settles quickly. Walking past other barking dogs will see her bark back but this could be worked on with some training. She loves stretching her legs and running around to explore, and has good recall off-leash if no other dogs (or kangaroos) are around to run off to. In general, Cadiera has good obedience, but she needs a home that can focus on her improving some of her behavior and is experienced with working dogs. Her new owner needs to continue to work on her impulse control with a professional trainer to begin with.
We are looking for a working breed experienced home where Cadiera will be a part of the family. She will need an active home where her owner is willing to fine tune her working instincts when she is in exciting or stimulating situations. Alternatively, she would be perfect in a quiet environment where she can explore the world just with her humans. She will need some good pats and cuddles in return for the love that she will give her new owners. This girl will no doubt make a great best friend for the right person.
If you are interested in making Cadiera a part of your family, then let us know by filling in a dog adoption enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
