About Cheddar Bonded With Feta
Meet Cheddar
This beautiful young man is a sweet heart. His favourite pass time is snuggling up with his brother in the sun and sleeping his afternoons away. Don't be fooled though.. once the sun sets, it's full on party time! He zooms around the house chasing his toys and wrestling with his bro Feta. Once the party is over he happy to sit with you for cuddle time.
Both these beautiful boys are a gorgeous bonded pair that really enjoy each other's company often always sleeping together and cuddling each other. Because of their short legs they can't jump very high so no need to worry about them thieving food off your kitchen counter. They have also been fostered in a household with three little dogs and both enjoy cuddling up and receiving their daily grooming sessions from them.
Cheddar and Feta can be slow to warm up in new environments and would be best suited to a home without children. They are looking for a home where they will be adopted together.
Could Cheddar and Feta be the ones for you?
*Please note: Cheddar has Juvenile Gingivitis. Below is more information about this disease and what to expect.
Juvenile Gingivitis
What is the Problem? The gums are inflamed. In young cats with no dental disease, this is referred to as juvenile gingivitis. The cause is unknown but the condition can be associated with one of the cat flu viruses, calicivirus.
What has been done so far? Courses of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories have been given. We have tested for FIV virus and it was a negative result. There has been mild improvement in the level of gingivitis.
What still needs to be done? Monitoring of the gingivitis is important. Regular vet checks are recommended. Starting on a diet to help keep teeth clean is recommended. We recommend Hills T/D dry food. If the gingivitis does not settle, further testing may be required.
What can be expected?
The course of this condition is not easy to predict. It will resolve in some cats, whereas others may require life long treatment.
