About Millie
Hi, I am Millie and the last of the puppies to go up for adoption!
Like the others, I can be shy and reserved when first meeting new people, however if they bribe me with treats, I like them instantly! I am also shy when meeting new dogs, I don't like them in my face, but if they are relaxed and play it cool, I warm up quicker! I wasn't too fussed on making friends in puppy class, I was more concerned with learning the new behaviours so I could get the yummy treats. I didn't mind my labrador friend, because she was like me, and just wanted to sit and wait for treats.
Things I like:
- Kids, I live with some mini humans and enjoy their company
- Training - I have perfected sit, down, on the mat, hand touch, learning leave it
- Play - I love to play games such as tug!
- Walks - I am now fully vaccinated and starting to go for walks and explore the world, I can get overwhelmed in busy situations.
- My foster fur sibling - I love to play!
I would love my home to have another male mellow dog OR I could be ok as an only dog as long as the humans were around a lot and took me on outings regularly. I would also love some of those mini humans, cats and poultry are interesting, so my home would have to strictly separate me from them and do some training. I am a massive goofball once you get to know me!!! So I look forward to meeting you!
This litter of puppies will have a strict list of pre requisites as outlined below, this is because they did not receive appropriate early socialisation which can mean possible behavioural issues if they do not receive regular training and socialisation.
- adopters MUST have large breed experience
- adopters MUST enrol the puppy into further dog training classes with an approved force free trainer within 3 weeks of adoption and provide proof to rescue.
- adopters MUST be able to afford good quality food and diet as the pups continue to grow, they are a lot smaller than they should be so they need very good quality diets to ensure they grow and develop correctly.
- we do not rehome female puppies into a home with an existing female dog. This is due to the majority of female Danes surrendered to us are due to same sex aggression with another female dog, so we set our dogs up for success by avoiding this.
- adopters MUST have 5 foto plus fencing, as these pups grow, they will need secure and sturdy fencing
- Only successful shortlisted applicants will be contacted, we do not have the resources to reply to all unsuccessful applications.
- please DO NOT phone, email is our main point of contact, however if you are interested in adoption please fill out an online adoption application and DO NOT send a Pet Rescue Enquiry, we have an adoption process in place:
