About Loki
All about me, my background and my unique personality:
Hi! My name is Loki and I am a young and friendly kitten, looking for my very own forever family.
I came into care with 5 of my siblings, after we were surrendered into a local pound together. We were lovingly raised with our mum until that point and so were all healthy and well socialised.
I am a little on the shy side, which is to be expected given all the changes I have been through lately. It takes me a few days to settled into a new home and work out that my human is safe and loving. When I do settle, I like to come out for pats and play times, and have an awesome purr of affection. I have a super strong appetite and was clearly the head of my litter and made sure I did not miss out on any of my foods!
My coat is super pretty, with two tones of ginger in a cool marbled tabby pattern. I’ve lived inside all my life and you can feel it when you pat my super soft fur.
My adoption fee is $150, for which I am flea and worm treated, vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, litter trained and vet-checked.
My ideal home:
I am a young cat and so with time and loving care, would likely adjust to most houses. Being a bit on the cautious side, it would be great if I could go to a quieter home or have stay in a smaller, quieter part of my new home until I settle. My new family will need to understand my ways and be willing to work with me at first, so that I feel safe and confident, so that I don’t turn into a scardy cat. It won’t take much, just a little time and understanding at first. Then I will be running the house before you know it!
My new family needs to be committed to keeping me as an indoor only cat, for both my safety and that of the local wildlife.
How do I interact with kids, cats, dogs and other pets?:
My very first home had both dogs and cats in it, so I am used to other fluffies. In one of my foster homes I met resident cats and found that I got on well with the older/larger cats, but was a bit too dominant for the little ones, so my carer would not recommend I go into a home with little kittens, but adults would be fine.
I’ve met children when they have come to visit and was ok with them. I kept to myself, watching from the other side of the room rather than interacting, they have a different energy to adults. I am a placid boy who has soft play skills and does not scratch or bite, so I would get used to a home with children in it.
When introducing me to any other fluffies or children, it will be important to do it slowly and thoughtfully, to make the pairing a success. Speak to my Carer and she can give you some tips around this.
