About Mini & Maxxi
Mini and Maxxi are two delightful senior citizens who have lived together all their lives. They are full of life and love their daily walks, but also love relaxing. Mini (female) is Staffy cross and Maxxi (male) Border Collie cross. They have sent a message about their lives in foster care!
We come as the ultimate package! We are super sweet, affectionate house trained and walk brilliantly on the lead. Do not let our ages fool you as we will always greet you with the enthusiasm of a younger dog and love going for daily walks. Whilst the typical age related foes creep in, our sight is still strong enough we can see every morsel of food on the ground and our hearing is still sharp enough we can hear every food package being opened. Yes, we like our food!
We would love a low set home and a mature household, where we can spend time with you inside as we love to be near you. Maxxi likes to make sure he can see you, wheras I, Mini, am happy to have a snooze on my bed while you are watching TV or on the computer. Whilst we love our walks and car rides, we are also happy to chill around the house or yard while our foster carer is at work. Our foster carer's neighbours love us as we are super quiet when she is out. Storms, fireworks or loud noises don't phase us at all. At night we love sleeping inside on our soft beds. We love our pats and will actively seek them out and have been known to approach strangers on our walks who look like they need to pat two adorable older dogs. We also love being brushed-how many dogs can say that?
We are the companions you have been seeking!
Mini & Maxxi.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
