About Lola
Lola came into care three weeks ago very timid and shy but has since come out of her shell and is displaying her showgirl qualities as she prances on lead and insists on saying hello to every passer-by, tail wagging.
Lola is a playful 5 month old labradoodle.
Quick to learn, Lola is polite and sits for meals and treats and has lovely lead manners but as she is still only a puppy will benefit from puppy training and toilet training is still a work in progress.
Lola has attached herself to her carers and follows them around throughout the day. Consider her your shadow and friendly little helper. She loves to snuggle on the couch and in bed with you and finds comfort in her little bed as long as she is still able to be near you.
If a guard dog is what you are after Lola isn't it. Lola doesn't bark!! She has only let out the very occasional noise when startled or overly excited at the beach when around other playful pups.
Lola loves adventures at the beach, local parks and walking tracks. She travels very well in the car though does not willingly jump in or out of it.
Lola gets along well with cats and dogs of all sizes. Chickens and other feathered friends do not seem to bother her.
The perfect home for Lola will be one that can provide her with a lot of attention and ongoing training. As she is a puppy we do not wish for her to be alone for long periods of time if at all.
We would love to see her go to a young family as she has alot of energy and seems to gravitate to kids when we have been out with her. Another small dog would be a bonus but not essential if you have the time to spend with her and able to continue the socialisation at doggy parks and the beach. Lola must be an inside dog with access to a secure medium to large sized backyard as she loves doing zoomies. She loves your company so would like to know that she can sleep indoors and not confined away from you.
She will require regular grooming every 6 to 8 weeks as she has a fleece coat and brushing 3 x week in between.
Please be mindful that she is a puppy and is currently teething so will chew and run off with items of clothing and in the mornings in excitement of you waking can be a little mouthy.
Please do not apply if you work full time and away for long hours or do not have the time to invest in training, walking or grooming.
We will be sad to say goodbye to this little girl but hopeful of finding the perfect home that meets all of the above criteria.
