Whiskey is a gorgeous young goofy Rhodesian Ridgeback cross who has had major surgery on his right hip after being accidentally run over by a trailer at 4 months of age.

While Whiskey is in CARMAR foster care he is quickly learning his manners...and with time, rest and gentle patience he will learn to live with his limitations, which for a dog his size and age aren't so much of a hinderance, rather he just needs less time running madly for hours on end, and more short bursts of exercise under your supervision, and lots of brain stimulation to keep him from getting bored.

This young bloke is great with dogs his own size and is currently in care with another foster dog and they will play gently for hours.
He is not cat or small animal friendly at this stage.

Whiskey loves playing tug-o-war,playing hide and seek with his fav toy or food,toy fetch, and generally being a lad about town, learning to walk well on harness and leash or riding with the wind in his chops on the back of the ute!

Whiskey loves attention, your attention,other dogs attention or anyone that he thinks will pat him for ever!

Whiskey is housetrained and sleeps inside on his bed, or will sneak up onto the couch with you if you let him!

So knowing and understanding about his hip surgery, CARMAR are looking for a person or family with older kids that will understand they will have to be careful with his exercise, weight management and Veterinarian check ups regime to help him stay as active and painfree as possible.

All CARMAR cats & canines are fostered in private homes, so are used to the comings and goings ,noises ,smells and environments of a normal household. They are all temperament tested, recieve basic training, are desexed, michrochipped,vaccinated,wormed, flea free.
