About Billie
Hi! My name is Billie and I am a polite young girl, I love meeting new people and I will sit politely when I meet new people and wait patiently for pats or treats! Like the rest of my litter I can be a bit timid when I first meet other dogs, but warm up quickly, once i realise they just want to be friends. I have a foster sister who is a Great Dane and I love playing with her, she is great fun!
My foster parents have taught me some lovely manners already, I am pro at sitting, I learnt that gets me treats and attention. I know how to stay for my dinner and have perfected the shake! My toilet training is almost perfect, but I will need a home that will take me out regularly as I still have a small puppy bladder.
I am currently left home alone for about 4 hours a day with my foster sister, and I am ok as long as I have company. So I would love a home with a foster brother so we could hang out if our humans go do that 'work' stuff. Being a typical pup, I do like to chew things, so ensuring I have lots of enrichment toys that I can chew will be very important! I sleep in my bed, on the floor next to my foster sisters bed in my foster parents bedroom, so will need a home where I am allowed inside as part of the family. I am a happy lady who is very motivated by people and food. Now I am fully vaccinated, I will need someone who will dedicate time to teach me how to walk nicely on the lead and continue my obedience training (I have done some puppy classes!).
This litter of puppies will have a strict list of pre requisites as outlined below, this is because they did not receive appropriate early socialisation which can mean possible behavioural issues if they do not receive regular training and socialisation.
- adopters MUST have large breed experience
- adopters MUST enrol the puppy into further dog training classes with an approved force free trainer within 3 weeks of adoption and provide proof to rescue.
- adopters MUST be able to afford good quality food and diet as the pups continue to grow, they are a lot smaller than they should be so they need very good quality diets to ensure they grow and develop correctly.
- we do not rehome female puppies into a home with an existing female dog. This is due to the majority of female Danes surrendered to us are due to same sex aggression with another female dog, so we set our dogs up for success by avoiding this.
- adopters MUST have 5 foto plus fencing, as these pups grow, they will need secure and sturdy fencing
- Only successful shortlisted applicants will be contacted, we do not have the resources to reply to all unsuccessful applications.
- please DO NOT phone, email is our main point of contact, however if you are interested in adoption please fill out an online adoption application and DO NOT send a Pet Rescue Enquiry, we have an adoption process in place:
