About Izzy ~ 6 month old Kelpie X (On Trial 19/10/18)
Hi! I'm Izzy, I'm a 6 month old Kelpie x. I adore people and I'm lots of fun to be around. My favorite things are going for walks with my foster mum and playing fetch.
My ideal home would have someone home more often than not. Although its not essential as long has they have lots of time for me when they are home. I would really like it if I could hang out inside with everyone when they're home. Although I am happily sleeping outside at my foster mums house it would be great if I could sleep inside with my humans.
Unfortunately, I did not have the advantage of early socialisation so I need to be an only dog. I don't mind cats. I get pretty excited when they move fast because I think they want to play with me. I would probably prefer to go to a home without cats but I think I'd be okay with a proper introduction.
I am working on my manners but sometimes I can't contain myself and like to jump up to greet you. My foster parents are working on this but I would be best suited to a family with children over 6 years old. I would hate to accidentally knock someone over.
I know how to sit and stay, and I'm working on a few other cool tricks like drop and shake. I have slept inside a few times with my foster mum and dad (I give great cuddles) and I am able to wait till the morning to go to the toilet. I'm still very much a puppy so my new family will need to continue my training. I learn very quickly, especially when there are treats involved!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom of the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
