About Josie ~ Cattle Dog x Terrier (on trial 24/11/18)
Introducing the very affectionate and sweet Josie! Josie is an 20 month Red Cattle x Terrier who is looking for her furever home. Just one look into her puppy dog eyes and you will be smitten! She is a low energy, medium size dog who weighs 20kgs.
Josie is a very cuddly girl who will bond well with her new owner. She loves to snuggle at any given opportunity. Josie is very attentive, loves following or watching while you go about your chores.
Always keen to please and responds well to food rewards. Due to her sometimes excitable nature, Josie would be best suited around children over 8 years. Josie has no allergies, is not fussy and eats her food well.
In her current care arrangement Josie has had the company of two male dogs however she tends to have little tolerance towards other female dogs. Josie will show you her cheeky character and loves to play chaises, tug-o-war and fetch balls. She would thrive as an only dog as she loves to have all the kisses and cuddles for herself. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn’t work full time to keep her entertained.
Josie is very much a homebody and loves being close to her family around the house and garden. One of her favourite activity is going for daily walks and it would be important that this routine continue with her new family.
Josie understands basic commands such as sit, stay and come when called. She has also learnt to sit and wait for her food. Not a nuisance barker, but will alert you to visitors. She is toilet trained and uses a doggy door, is neither a jumper nor an escape artist.
Josie is mostly an inside dog and will go outside to the toilet. She currently sleeps in her basket positioned in the bedroom but if invited will happily curly up next to you on the bed. Due to her loving nature, this gorgeous girl will make for the most loyal companion. She will let you know every day just how much she loves you with kisses and a very enthusiastic tail wag.

Josie’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom of the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
