About Shelly ~ Jack Russell (on trial 28/9/18)
Shelly is a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is looking for someone to love and care for her. Sadly, Shelly’s owner has passed away.
Shelly is very good natured and great with people of all ages. She adores one on one attention and would make someone a great companion dog as she likes nothing more then to follow you around and go everywhere with you. At the end of the day she enjoys being able to relax on your lap.
Shelly is toilet trained and has basic training. She likes to go for a walk and loves to be taken out.
Shelly is very intelligent and is still willing to learn new things. She isn’t very interested in toys.
Shelly isn’t fond of other dogs and can be a bit snappy around them as she likes the attention for herself so would be best as the only dog in the family. We are unsure how she is with cats as hasn’t been exposed to them.
Now Shelly is used to homemade food such as beef or chicken mince with rice and vegetables and some good quality dry food. She recently had a dental so she might start being more adventurous with her food now that her mouth feels better.
Shelly would need someone home with her so a retired couple would be perfect. She needs someone active that enjoys a daily walk and taking her out with them.
If you would like to meet Shelly, Sharron is taking all enquiries for her. Please email sstudley3@bigpond.com or text 0423 331057. Shelly is with her carer Glenda at Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for adoption interstate.
To apply to meet Shelly, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt.
Shelly’s adoption fee is $350 and is she desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
