About Rory
Are you ready to introduce a new furry friend to your home and family? Can you dedicate time to training and socialisation to help a young pup grow into a confident and sociable canine? Look no further; this young dog is waiting for someone like you!
Rory arrived at the shelter with little experience of the world, but have been encountering new environments and taking on adventure head-first ever since! With the careful guidance of our animal attendants, he has explored lots of new surroundings and met some dogs here at the shelter. While Rory does show some frustration towards dogs, he may be okay with the right fit dog. So we ask that Rory meets all the dogs in the home.
The ideal family would be ready to devote time and patience to ongoing training and socialisation. While a comfy bed and lots of toys are important, positive experiences will be pivotal to this young dog. Using positive reinforcement - that's yummy treats and lots of verbal praise! - Rory will know where to toilet, how to play politely, basic skills, and how to greet other canines, amongst many other things. Fun and encouraging training will also help to build trust and a long-lasting bond between you and your new pooch. Please speak to our friendly staff for tips on training and settling your new boy into his new home! We are seeking a family which is home quite often for Rory, as he does get worried being alone too long.
All AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, health checked, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated.
