Adorable little Gerdy is now ready to find her new home. Gerdy is a small terrier (approx 5kg) with a big personality. She still has puppy tendencies and is playful with other dogs, loves chewing on toys (and shoes if she can get at them!) and exploring the park. Her on lead walking is coming along nicely, although with such little legs and so many delicious smells out there, walks are at a leisurely pace. Considering she is only small though, short walks and outings to the park will be enough to keep Gerdy fit and healthy.
She is a little low on confidence, sometime cowering when approached and needs a family who will work at turning those behaviours around and boosting her confidence. A home with small children is unlikely to be beneficial for her at this time due to this.
She is an apartment friendly dog due to her size but regular walks or use of an artificial grass patch is suggested. She is working hard on her toilet training, with only minor accidents (which are very small anyway!) recently. Birds fascinate her and she loves to chase them so a home with birds is not recommended. She has been living with a cat and shows no interest in chasing it, probably because most cats are much bigger than her. She has been sleeping in a crate with her foster siblings and will sleep through the night.
Gerdy will be looking for a home that can continue with her training, boost her confidence and show her the love that this adorable dog deserves. If interested in Gerdy please apply using only this link
