About Bella
Bella by name, Bella by nature. This little lady has a superb personality. She is a super smoochie little miss that loves to cuddle up to her person. She adores children and is friendly with dogs and cats.
Bella is an ex-breeding dog and was surrendered because her jaw is slightly mis-aligned. This does not cause any problems for her and just adds to her charm as she has a very subtle underbite.
Bella is a Shoodle, with a gentle nature, playful as she is a puppy, keen to please and loving. As she has not had a great deal of positive human interaction, she can show anxiety if you directly approach her. She will need a family that will be patient with her as she learns to trust.
Please apply for Bella if:
You are looking for a fur baby, one that you are happy to have curled up next to you as you sleep.
You have another dog in the house, Bella needs a companion to help her to 'dog' and feel secure.
You have a secure yard, she is a little escape artist.
You would like a puppy that is house trained, lead trained and has a puppy's enthusiasm for life
Please don't apply if:
Your children are young, Bella is a puppy and will nip when excited
You feel dogs should sleep in the laundry, not a chance - Bella will only be happy sleeping next to you
If you do not have another canine in the house, Bella is used to being part of a pack and needs company when you are not home
If you don't like puppy behaviour, Bella likes to chew - consider yourself forewarned!
Shoodle Extract from: http://www.cottagecanines.com/shoodle1.html:
Breed: Shoodle, Shihpoo (Shih Tzu x Poodle)
Temperament: Sweet, affectionate & playful
Approx. Size: 20 - 30cm at the withers
Weight: 3-8kg
Lifespan: 10-15 years
Maintenance: Medium
Personality, characteristics and temperament
Affectionate, sweet and cheeky little characters who enjoy the company of people and other pets. Sociable yet alert, the Shoodle is a fun loving and playful creature. Both the Poodle and the Shih Tzu make excellent companion dogs, whom thrive on the companionship of people and other pets. This is a dog who enjoys to be a part of the household/family environment, and will take pride in outings and activities.
Grooming your Shoodle
The amount of grooming required for a Shih Tzu cross Poodle will depend on the type of coat. These dogs generally have a low/non-shedding coat type, and the length of the coat you desire - will determine the amount of grooming required. For dogs with a longer and unclipped coat, regular brushing will be required to avoid knots and matting. For those who prefer a short to mid length coat, brushing will be required less frequently than those with a full length coat. Weekly brush and tidy is plenty to keep a well groomed, clipped Shoodle looking its best.
Medical notes
Vet checked, excellent health. Teeth in excellent condition, just recently had a clean and descale.
