About Sir Henry
***SPECIAL NEEDS DOG ON TREATMENT FOR HEARTWORM***
***LOOKING FOR A FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME ***
We believe Sir Henry is a purebred Dalmatian although, without any evidence, we can't guarantee it. We can say he is fairly typical of the breed and a really good natured boy eager to please. He gets on well with other dogs, but can't be trusted with cats. We are unsure about any other animals, but he loves people and kids and tolerates a small puppy with sharp teeth playing rough with him. He listens well, walks well on a lead and is a pleasure to be with. He has to have extremely secure fencing though as he has been known to leap over a 6' fence without touching it. Only to smell the flowers next door, never wandering at all. He is currently coping very well with being enclosed in a courtyard while he is undergoing treatment for heartworm which necessitates keeping him very quiet and not excited. Mind you he is not an excitable sort of dog (unless he spots a cat). For such a young dog, it's hard to imagine how he could have a burden of mature worms but after treatment, he should live a long, healthy life. We could find a foster home for him to finish his treatment but he has been moved a lot in his previous life and we think it would be more beneficial to him to have a family of his own to see him through. Preferably with someone who might be home all day as he does love company. and will need supervision during treatment. We will pay for all the medication, treatment and vet work that he'll need and hopefully, come Christmas, it will nearly all be over. At this stage he is showing no symptoms at all and we wouldn't have known if we didn't test all our new dogs. All his routine vetwork is done which includes desexing, vaccination and microchip. He is dewormed and flead and so healthy and happy it's hard to keep this good man down. Sir Henry is In foster care in Millaa Milllaa.
