Dawn is a well socialised pup and gets along well with other dogs and children. She is eager to please, very smart and is very energetic.
Please read the breed traits below:
Cattle Dogs are intelligent dogs who are easy to train. These dogs were bred to work and that means they can become easily bored if they are not given an outlet for their energy.
Taking on a Cattle Dog means committing to regularly exercising the dog through long walks. They are also ideally suited to agility, flyball and herding trials. Preference will be given to families on acerage.
The Cattle Dog makes a good family dog but they require training and they can have a tendency to be a bit nippy.
This dog does have a tendency to be a bit dominant but with early training and socialization he will come to know his place in the family. He needs to know who the pack leader is in the family so he can take direction accordingly.
Regular exercise, mental stimulation and training will usually result in a well-balanced dog.
Medical notes
Dawn has/will have the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ 2 x Vaccinations (C3 & C5)

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
