About Zia
Zia is an incredibly smart and active girl who is looking for a special home. She is social with all types of dogs and adores people.
Has met livestock and chickens through a coop. And cats as well since being in care.
This smart girl just wants someone to please. She isn’t fussed if she is an only dog or with the company of another dog.
She is best matched to a submissive natured dog who is active and can keep up with her.
Her new owners need to be committed to daily exercise in the form of biking or running. A simple walk isn’t enough for this girl as she is very high energy.
She would suit an outdoors style home who would even love hiking.
She would love camping on weekends, runs in the afternoon, swims and car rides. She is an outdoors sort of girl who loves the comforts of inside when she is relaxing and sleeping.
She is well toilet trained, fantastic with her on and off leash abilities and also crate trained. She has mastered her basic obedience and would even do well in a dog sports home.
She’s an all round fun girl who will need 6ft fencing but she has shown great success with rural fencing.
Zia has great potential to be a service or therapy dog also and was originally adopted out as a service dog until her owner became terminally ill and she was sadly returned very short into her adoption
Zia is located in the lower hunter valley and her adoption fee is $350.
Please note although she has wolfhound mixing, she is neither large nor lazy like one. She is the same size as a standard kelpie.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
