About Sophie ~ 2yo border collie (on trial 11/11/18)
Sophie is a 2 year old Border Collie girl. She has a sweet personality and melts everyone's heart when they meet her. She can be full of beans and very funny. She's an affectionate, smart young dog just waiting for a family to devote herself to.
True to her breed, she is an energetic girl, never turning down the opportunity for a play for walk. She would make the perfect running partner for your early mornings or will keep you company on afternoon strolls.
Sophie likes being with people so will need to be allowed inside when people are home. Her foster carer doesn't have any other dogs so if you already have a dog you can bring him or her to meet Sophie.
Sophie gets so happy to greet people that she can jump quite high. She'd not be suitable to young children because she could accidentally knock them over. Her foster carer is working on teaching Sophie more appropriate greeting manners. She has some good basic training and can sit, come and working on stay. She is relaxed around food.
Sophie isn't suitable for households with birds, cats, or pocket pets as they're too much fun to chase.
If you're looking for an active companion who also will provide lots of affection and cuddles, you'll want to meet our beautiful Sophie.
For more information or to meet Sophie, please contact her foster carer Alex on 0421 946 185 (preferred) or email alex.wanless@hotmail.com. Sophie is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle and is available for adoption interstate.
Sophie's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, and heartworm, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
Medical notes
Healthy young girl

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
