About Peta ~ Border Collie x (on trial 28/9/18)
Say hello to lovely Peta! She is a 5 month old, female, Border Collie x puppy. She is a sweet little girl who loves human company and would make a great fur family member.
Peta is a beautiful and very affectionate girl who just loves human and doggy attention. Peta’s ideal family will be able to spend lots of time with her, teaching her new things and understanding that she is still a puppy and will do puppy things. Peta is currently learning to sit and going through toilet training.
Peta will grow up to be a medium size dog and is already 12.5kg. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Peta just loves human company and would curl up next to you all day if you let her. Her dream home would have someone home more often than not, although this is not essential as long as you have lots of time for her when you are home.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Peta. Peta came into care from a rural pound and is currently living with another dog so we are unsure how she would go alone.
Peta is currently welcomed inside when her foster carer is home and sleeps inside. Being a young dog Peta is still learning not to jump up so would be best suited in a household without young children. Peta has not been around cats or pocket pets.
Peta will soon be available for adoption following her desexing.
For more information, please email Melissa at melissapollo64@gmail.com. If you would like to meet Peta or apply to adopt, please fill our our adoption questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. Peta is in foster care in the Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Peta's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she has been treated for fleas and worms. You can see the adoption process and all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
