About Milo ~ Pug x Cavalier (on trial 19/2/19)
Hi, my name is Milo, I’m a 3 year old Pugalier (Pug x Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). My foster mum says I’m super cute and cuddly & I’m not going to argue with her, just look at me!
I’m on the lookout for my new family. They must be very special people and understand the characteristics of a Pugalier. I have a very friendly affectionate nature, and I get along well with children and other dogs. I’m not fond of cats, birds or pocket pets. I currently reside with 4 other dogs - two very large bull mastiffs and two smaller Foxies. We get along really well, so I don’t have issues with making new friends. My current human foster sister is 9yrs old, and I just love her to bits.
I am extremely curious and can be very stubborn at times. I’m full of personality and will keep you entertained for hours. I’m very food driven so you need to watch me, so no small children as I will take advantage of them being small if they have food. You will have to be super strong willed when it comes to food, otherwise I’ll end up a big fat Pugalier if you over feed me - I LOVE food.
My second favorite thing to do: I love to run around the yard, I’m forever exploring, that’s why I love walks !!! Getting out and meeting new people, going to new places is what I love to do, I just love car rides, I want to go everywhere with you. I’d be best to stay on the lead, as I tend to lose focus on other things and pretend not to hear you calling me. My new family must be active, however, due to my breed I’m not too great when it’s warm outside so in summer early morning walks would be great and I’d like air-conditioning during the day. I will benefit from consistent and ongoing training. Because I love food, I can be super motivated to learn.
Sleeping is my third favorite thing to do. I snuggle up so well in my foster parent’s bed, and I just love the pillows and cuddling up under the covers. I’m not a loud snorer promise. So I’d love to have a home that would let me onto their bed - I’m negotiable on the “under covers” part, I know some people don’t like that, so you could train me to sleep above the covers, I’m down for that. I’ll also sleep on the lounge with you or in my dog bed, but as long as you are near me otherwise I’m up following you around - were you getting me food by any chance?
In my old life I used to be an outside only dog, but life has changed for the better when I met my foster mum and I don’t want to revert back. I really, really want to be part of your family, so inside with you would be the only thing she’ll accept. I’m learning my toilet training, so please be patient if I have a few accidents, I’ll get to know your routine in time.
I shed hair, a lot, so weekly brushing and fortnightly baths are the way to go, to keep me smelling good and looking pretty. I love a good bath.
I think I’d really like to have someone home more often than not, maybe a part time worker or work at home family member. I might be OK at home by myself, as long as I had a companion, but I do get upset if you are on the other side of the fence, because I’m not going with you. Good fences are a must - they don’t have to be 10 foot tall, but secure from the ground up. Because I love to explore, apartment living or small yards would will not be suitable for me.
If you think we will be a good fit together, or you would like more information, please contact my foster mum Joanne via email designer.stable@bigpond.com . My foster mum will need you to complete the adoption application form on our website https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
My adoption fee is $500. I am desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and lifetime registered. I am in foster care in the Morisset area, NSW (south of Newcastle) and not am available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
