About Sigh DB406
Meet Sigh.
Sigh came to us from a very loving and dedicated previous owner who had raised him from a puppy. This shows in his blind affection for every human he can meet and his constantly upbeat, eager and super chilled personality.
He is a big dog, and of a breed type is often, visually intimidating – but Sigh himself has no idea about this and thinks he is a tiny fluff ball everyone should be cuddling, carrying around in their arms and letting sit on their laps 24/7.
Outside of the house, Sigh is inquisitive, impulsive and energetic, he is quite independently minded and he loves to meet other people and dogs. Inside the house however, Sigh is happy to nap the afternoon away in the sun, on the bed (that he isn’t allowed to sleep on) or most preferably, on his human. Sigh very much likes to be around his humans as much as possible when they are home, whether leaning on your legs while you cook in the kitchen, lying on top of you as you watch netflix on the couch, standing next to you at the sink (on his hind legs so your faces are level) when you brush your teeth, or simply sitting at your feet while you read.
Despite this love for humans and not ever wanting to ever be left alone- when he is alone he has never once been destructive or done anything at all annoying when left to his own devices for full work days and late evenings. He seems to will just nap in the sun or sit by the front door window waiting to leap on the first person home. He dearly loves his deflated soccer ball and ripped teddy bear. He is slowly starting to understand what fetch means, and the food he most likes to eat is whatever food his humans are eating.
Sigh also, quite wonderfully, is not a barker. It was at least a fortnight of him living with us before we even realised he had a bark, and his loud vocal expressions are still very very few and far between, he is a whimperer however, when not getting the attention he wants, especially when his humans havnt’t yet gotten out of bed in the morning. Sigh will put on the sookiest whimpering performance and try to nuzzle at your feet or arm or any body part hanging out of the doona until he gets a pat.
We really really love Sigh, as do all our extended friends and family - young and old. We would most like to see him go to a family who can give him far more people-time than we always can. The more people in the household to be playing with him and walking him and taking him to as many of their human-social events as possible- the better. Sigh does well with a walk/run each day and loves an off lead play at the local fenced dog park. - From his interactions here, we think he would do well with most any chilled, playful female dog.
In sum, Sigh is a very big dog who does not know he is massive. He is lovely, so sweet with all and the personable, life of the party – whether that canine or human.
