About Skye
It’s often said that first impressions count, so while we’re introducing you to our newest recruit Skye, we wanted to share some of ours.
Oh she’s so pretty and friendly, loving and good with kids and she loves people. She’s got such nice manners and she likes to woo hoo when she plays. Her hobby is splashing in her paddle pool and did we say she’s so pretty?
So, now that the dust has settled on our first impressions, here’s the low-down on darling Skye.
Skye is a desexed, female, 5-year-old blue-eyed husky. She has lovely manners towards children, adults and other dogs alike.
She’s never tried to bust out of her yard (although she thinks digging little holes in the yard is an excellent part-time job) and is a well-behaved - if typical - tugging husky on the lead at first and sometimes becomes scared of loud noises (trucks/bus/trains) but with positive reinforcement she is getting better.
She knows the basic command 'sit & wait' but will try to get away with not doing it, typically husky !
She’s affectionate, loves to play with both dogs and humans, thinks sleeping in the rain during storms is a good way to handle them, and doesn’t really even bark (although she likes a chat when she’s playing).
Skye is a complete princess who is loving, affectionate, plays well by herself and with others, is great with even young kids and has no food issues. Her favourite sleeping position is ‘disassembled’ with her back legs in the air.
Skye will fit in happily with a wide range of household configurations and we’d love to see her happy life continue. Skye has loved having two male huskies to play with whilst in foster care so we would like to see her go to a home with another suitable sized and active male buddy.
The usual husky rules apply with high, secure fences and no cats or pocket pets.
