About Lila
Please say a very special, Squishy hello to Lila.
Lila the lilac Persian is an abuse survivor. Lila has a permanently misaligned jaw due to it having been broken in the past, in addition to her having suffered multiple other injuries. Despite her abusive past, Lila is a sweet and loving girl, though understandably a little timid.
During her time in care, it became apparent that Lila needed a nose job. Her stenotic nares (tiny nostrils) were so extreme that she struggled to inhale, so she has now had surgery to widen her nostrils.
Lila had her post surgery check-up last week and her nose has healed beautifully. While it hasn’t made as big a difference to Lila’s breathing as we had hoped, there is definitely an improvement and we’re very happy with the decision to have it done.
Now that she’s healed, Lila is taking expressions of interest in a forever home!
Lila is looking for a quiet, mature home with a professional or retired single or couple with no existing pets. She would be fabulously suited to apartment living and is more than happy to snooze the day away, should her person be a full time worker. While Lila does have her playful moments and is quite partial to chasing the odd toy, mostly she’s a pretty sedate girl who just wants to ‘be’. If she was a person her favourite pastime would be curling up on the couch with a good book and a nice cup of tea! Being that she can’t read and doesn’t have thumbs though, her version of this is just relaxing in her bed or near a window and alternating between snoozing and watching the world go by!
Lila is also skilled in the art of “Netflix and Chill” and makes a lovely couch companion for watching telly.
Lila needs her face cleaning daily and is quite amenable to this and she will need regular grooming and the odd professional trim.
Lila is in care in Wantirna South
Medical notes
Lila goes to her new home desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and parasite treated. She has also been professionally groomed, has had major dental work (she has a misaligned jaw – details above) and has had stenotic nares surgery.
