Meet Shinoa – she’s definitely unique but she is one of the most amazing puppies around. She is such a gentle and loving puppy who adores a cuddle, is always happy to see you, and more than willing to give you a kiss. She’s beautiful to stroke too with her lovely soft coat, and her excess rolls are so cute. Overall, she is a calm natured girl who is very easy to have around and hang out with. She is still a playful character though who loves her toys, or your slippers if she can get her paws on them to carry around in her mouth! Shinoa is not a needy puppy as she is happy to go and lie on her bed or have her own little game when you’re busy. She is bound to make you laugh at her personality and smile when she snuggles up with you for a cuddle.
While in care she has been living with 4 other dogs of various sizes and personalities, and she gets along with all of them. She loves to play with other dogs and run around the dog park. She isn’t too ‘in the face’ of other dogs who don’t really want to play as long as she gets some time to play with those who will. Shinoa will grow into a relatively decent sized dog with moderate activity levels so will need daily exercise and regular socialisation opportunities with other friendly dogs. She is also currently living with a cat and plays with him as well.
Shinoa is progressing well with her training. She is virtually toilet trained and has learnt to use the dog door to pass in and out by herself. She can sit and is working on improving her lead manners. Off lead she is great and follows you around, and her recall is good as well. Currently, she is being taught not to jump up when excited. Being a young pup, she will require a family who are committed to continuing her training. We highly recommend group training classes that she can continue longer term (at least for the first year) to ensure that she reaches her full potential. Shinoa travels well in the car and is also crate trained which is where she sleeps at night. She is already sleeping right through without an issue.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Shinoa where she will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. She will require a home with another friendly doggie companion who could still have a play with her, and/or where someone was home most of the time to keep her company. Shinoa should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. She should be fine with children as she is very friendly, but parents need to be committed and have the time to integrate the puppy and young children while both are learning the rules. Shinoa is expected to be able to live with other types of pets as well, as long as she is shown the ropes to start with. This pup is going to make a stellar addition to one very lucky family.
If you would like to apply for Shinoa then please fill in a dog adoption enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
