About Jelly Bean
This little queen is everyone’s friend, she’s super social and outgoing. Loves a good chat and play with her cat pals and her doggo friends, and snuggle with her foster pawrents.
She came into my care as a tiny 80g baby, she’s been lovingly raised around 3 friendly resident cats and our golden retriever. Jelly would come to the vet hospital, my place of work, everyday, catching the train for an hour. She’s been around the hospital and met all the furries.
She lives up to her name sake, little girl is actually a bouncing jelly bean, not a kitten at all. She’s super playful, literally will play with anything and anyone. Jelly does love a good cuddle though, her foster mum cradles her like a baby most nights and she relaxes so much she’ll drift to sleep.
Medical notes
Jelly was born with a condition called Atresia Ani, essentially meaning she was congenitally deformed and had an incredibly small, not well functioning bum hole. At the tender age of 4 weeks, weighing 320g, she had specialist corrective surgery with one of the best teams in Sydney. It was successful and she’s been a professional pooper since.
We acquired Jelly via a local pound; when she came into care at a few days old, she had severe cat flu - pneumonia and upper respiratory infection. She has been flu free for quite some time, however we believe that she may be a herpes carrier. Which means she should be kept indoors and not given access to young unvaccinated kittens.
Adoption details
Jellys adoption will consist of a verbal or email interview process, a meet and greet; followed by a trial adoption for the successful candidates. Her trial period is 1 month however as her foster parents were available 24/7 throughout that period for any help or advice you may need, she’s super special to us, so we hope she is to her new people as well ❤️
Her fee includes a nursing consult with her team at Sydney Vet Specialists, desexing, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations, and flea/worming treatment. As well as some food and a few of her favorite toys!
